Fangs Pass 4 Day Circuit

50km. 2,500 vertical meters. Unlimited mountain magic.

This isn’t just a hike, it’s a full-blown mountain saga.

Fangs Pass is one of the most scenic routes in the entire Drakensberg. Over 4 days, you’ll climb a total of 2,500 vertical metres (yes, your quads will cry), cover just under 50km of dramatic terrain, and earn bragging rights that last longer than your ability to walk properly afterward.

We’ll spend one night in the lower Mnweni Valley, then two nights up on the escarpment, sleeping under the stars and possibly questioning your life decisions in the best possible way.

This is one of our tougher hikes, but also one of the most rewarding. If you’re looking for a Drakensberg adventure that’s raw, real, and ridiculously beautiful, this is it.

The Damage: R5,000 per person

Before you scroll away thinking “ouch,” just remember what’s included:

• A qualified mountain guide who knows the way and cracks jokes

  • 4-season tent
