Drakensberg Northern Traverse

The Drakensberg Northern Traverse is one of South Africa’s most spectacular hikes. We offer this hike over a 6 day period and walk along the escarpment edge for a more scenic, yet challenging experience. The Northern Traverse starts at Sentinel Car Park and follows the escarpment throughout the northern drakensberg until reaching the Cathedral Peak Hotel.

The cost for this hike is R12,000 per person and includes:

• Return transport from JHB
• Qualified mountain guide
• Hiking permits and park fees
• Dinners, breakfasts, lunches and hot drinks on the mountain
• Equipment including tents, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, backpacks and eating utensils
• Shuttle from witsieshoek mountain lodge to sentinel car park
