Join us on this epic single-day adventure along the Dragon’s Tail Via Ferrata, located high above the Amphitheatre and Tugela Falls in the Northern Drakensberg. This is not your average hike. It’s a unique combination of hiking, scrambling, and cable-assisted climbing that will have you feeling like an action movie star one minute and questioning your life choices the next.

The route follows a fixed steel cable system up the dramatic sandstone cliffs of Sentinel Peak, offering incredible exposure, jaw-dropping views, and an experience unlike anything else in South Africa. No previous climbing experience is required, but a good head for heights, reasonable fitness, and some upper body strength are essential. If ladders make you nervous and looking over a balcony causes sweaty palms, this may not be the adventure for you.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, we keep our guide-to-client ratios small and provide all the technical equipment needed for the climb.

The cost for this scheduled day trip is R1,500 per person and includes:
